Climax Rigid Couplings
Climax Metal Products Company manufactures a broad assortment of Rigid Couplings to suit many customer applications in Mentor, OH. Climax Rigid Couplings fit imperial shaft sizes from ¼” to 2 ¼” and metric shaft sizes from 6mm to 50mm. Our Rigid Couplings are made from mild steel with a black oxide finish or type 303 stainless steel. A limited selection of Rigid Couplings is offered using aluminum material. Couplings are manufactured both with and without keyways. Step-bore couplings are also available to attach two shafts of differing sizes.

One-Piece Clamping Couplings
One-Piece Clamping Couplings are designed to handle applications that require a greater torque capacity than Set Screw Couplings without marring the shaft. Recessed screw styles of One-Piece Clamping Couplings are available to provide safety with an outside surface free of major projections.
Two-Piece Clamping Couplings
Two-piece Clamping Couplings are designed to handle applications that require a greater torque capacity than Set Screw Couplings and One-Piece Couplings without marring the shaft. Recessed screw styles of Two-Piece Clamping Couplings are available to provide safety with an outside surface free of major projections.
Set Screw Couplings
Set Screw Couplings are the most cost effective Rigid Coupling design. If additional torque capacity is required, Climax provides Set Screw Couplings with a second set of screws at 90°.
Re-Machinable Couplings
Re-Machinable Couplings are offered with an undersized bore allowing the customer the necessary clearance to re-machine the bore without damaging the existing clamp screws. The pilot bore can be safely enlarged to the nominal bore size reflected in the part number nomenclature.
Shaft Adapters
Shaft Adapters allow for repairing, altering, extending, increasing or decreasing the current shaft. They are easily installed and compatible with all standard round shafts.
