Climax Shaft Collars
Climax Metal Products Company manufactures a broad assortment of shaft collars to suit many customer applications in Mentor, OH. Climax shaft collars fit imperial shaft sizes between 1/16” and 6” and metric shaft sizes from 2mm to 80mm. Our shaft collars are made from mild steel, type 303 or 316 stainless steel, aluminum or acetal. Steel collars are available in multiple finishes – black oxide, clear zinc, yellow zinc, or unplated.

One-Piece Clamping Collars

Set Screw Collars
Set Screw Collars are the most cost effective shaft collar design. Lightweight styles are available where an application has a space constraint. If additional load capacity is required, Set Screw Collars are available with a second screw at 90°. Set Screw Collars are also available with a keyway for keyed shafts.
Threaded Clamping Collars
Threaded Clamping Collars provide a greater amount of axial holding capacity on threaded shafts. The design fully engages the thread for secure locking. Recessed screw styles of Threaded Clamping Collars are available to provide safety with an outside surface free of major projections.
Shaft Mount Collars 2SMC-Series
Shaft Mount Collars with machined flats can be mounted to each other or attached precisely to flat surfaces in a repeatable manner. Two-piece collars are easily installed where major disassembly would otherwise be required.

End stop collars fit over rail assemblies on precision shafting.
Re-Machinable Collars
Re-Machinable One-Piece Clamping Collars are offered with an undersized bore allowing the necessary clearance to re-machine the bore without damaging the existing clamp screws. The pilot bore can be safely enlarged to the nominal bore size reflected in the part number nomenclature.
Drill Stop Kit
Drill stop collars make it easy to drill holes to a uniform depth. Kit consists of 7 set screw collars that firmly grip the outer diameter of the drill bit. Sizes include: 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", and 1/2" Hex keys enclosed for easy installation.
